Exporting an accessible Power BI report theme
A Power BI report theme is a JSON file that sets colours, text, and visual defaults. BI Workbench can import an existing theme.json, adjust it, and export a file you can load in Desktop. The aim is contrast that still works on a projected report.
Why a theme file
Setting colours on every visual does not survive the next page. A theme applies once and keeps KPI cards, charts, and tables in the same palette.
Accessibility is part of that. If the accent disappears on a light background, or labels sit on a close grey, the report fails in a meeting room before it fails in a model.
What BI Workbench does
Import a theme.json or paste JSON. Set a name, adjust the palette, preview a mock page, and export.
The tool is the same one I use when a report needs a consistent palette before the first visual is locked in.
