Why some people still prefer SSRS
People prefer SSRS when the report has to look identical every time and arrive without a login. A Power BI page can shift with a filter, a browser width, or a visual update. An SSRS document does not. For a finance pack or a pick list, that stability is the requirement.
What they are protecting
A layout that matches a printed form. A page break that always falls in the same place. A PDF that can be filed.
They are also protecting a distribution list. Many operational consumers are not Power BI users. They will not open a workspace to find yesterday’s run.
What I do not do
I do not move those reports into Power BI to modernise them. A dashboard that cannot print and cannot email on a clock is not an upgrade.
I keep SSRS for the document and Power BI for the interactive cut. The warehouse stays shared.

Why do some people prefer SSRS to Power BI?
Because the page is pixel-stable, delivery can be email or a file share, and the consumer does not need a workspace login.
Should those reports be rebuilt in Power BI?
Not if the requirement is a filed PDF or a mailbox pack. Keep SSRS for that job and Power BI for interactive reporting.
